Wood/churches/structures

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

With the Hertfordshire Greens series put to bed – the archived material can all be seen by clicking on eponymous tab on the Home Page – I am going to mix up the offering a bit, hence the headline.

Expect some posts of photographs of wood, its grain, its shapes, its textures. My father was a carpenter (among many other things) and I may not have inherited his skill but I did inherit some of the pleasure he got from the look and feel of wood.

There will be photographs taken in and around some of my favourite local churches. I’m not religious but I would happily pay a tax for the upkeep of ancient English churches as repositories of architecture, design, local history, and calm.

And there will be some posts of shots of shapes and structures that appealed to me.

At some point, I will cover the River Mimram.

A reminder: I retain copyright on all content.
